The company

The cargo that cannot fail

We specialize in what does not fit on a conventional trailer: extendable trailers up to 24 meters and lowboy trailers up to 50 tonnes, for oversized, indivisible pieces.

Logística Inversol was founded in 1999 by directors with more than 20 years of experience at major transport companies.

From the route survey and permit processing to delivery, every movement is planned before departure. That is how we work for mining, public works and industry, from Arica to Magallanes.

"Un camino seguro" — a safe road — is not just a phrase

When the piece is one of a kind and the date will not move, safety is decided in the planning — before the truck leaves our central or northern base.

  • Route survey before departure. Every oversized movement is analyzed in advance: clearance under bridges, turning radii, critical points and permitted travel hours.
  • Permits processed by us before the Dirección de Vialidad (Highways Directorate) of Chile's Ministry of Public Works (MOP), coordinating escort vehicles when the cargo exceeds 3.6 m in width, 30 m in length or 100 tonnes total gross weight.
  • Drivers with specific, ongoing training for dangerous goods and IMO-classified cargo, with the regulatory signage and the protocols specific to each class.
  • ISO 45001:2018 in occupational health and safety, alongside ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.

Frequently asked questions

What clients ask before hiring us

What counts as oversized cargo in Chile?

Any cargo that exceeds the limits set by Chilean road regulations for normal transit. The main ones are 2.60 metres in width, 18.60 metres in length for a tractor and semi-trailer, and 45 tonnes of total gross weight. Beyond any of them, transport requires a special oversize permit and, depending on the magnitude, an escort vehicle and a prior route survey.

Who processes the oversize permit?

We handle it as part of the service. This includes the route feasibility analysis, the permit application and the coordination of escort vehicles when required.

When is an escort vehicle required?

An escort vehicle is required when the cargo exceeds any of these three limits: 3.6 meters in width, 30 meters in length or 100 tonnes of total gross weight. Exceeding just one of the three makes the escort mandatory.

What is an extendable trailer and what cargo is it for?

It is a semi-trailer that extends to carry pieces longer than a conventional trailer can: pipes, beams, structures and indivisible loads. It is the standard equipment for extra-long cargo.

What is IMO-classified cargo and what does transporting it require?

It is cargo classified as dangerous under the international IMO code (explosives, flammables and corrosives, among other classes). It requires authorized units, drivers with specific training, regulatory signage and safety protocols specific to each class, in accordance with Supreme Decree 298 (DS 298) and, in the case of explosives, with the Ministry of the Interior regulations on weapons and explosives.

What information do you need to quote a special transport?

Origin and destination, cargo dimensions and weight, whether the load is indivisible, estimated date, and loading and unloading conditions at each point. If you have the cargo drawing, share it: with that we assess route feasibility and the equipment required.

Do you transport cargo to Peru, Bolivia and Argentina?

Yes. We are authorized at nine border crossings into the three countries, with the corresponding international transport documentation. We also transport explosives to Peru and Argentina.

What certifications does Logística Inversol hold?

Sicep Category A with 92.69%, plus ISO 9001:2015 (quality), ISO 14001:2015 (environmental management) and ISO 45001:2018 (occupational health and safety).
